Jesus says to us, “Ask (literally, keep asking), and you shall receive. Keep seeking and will find. Keep knocking and the door will be opened” (Sermon on the Mount).
Dallas Willard says a child innately understands the power of request. They practice it at the highest level! And Jesus said we must become as children to operate in the Kingdom: He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
