Christians should live a wartime lifestyle
The Queen Mary arriving in New York Harbor with thousands of US soldiers, June 20, 1945

The Queen Mary was a British ocean liner that carried passengers between Southampton, England and New York City beginning in 1936. The ship was converted into a troop transport for Allied soldiers during World War II. It holds the record for the most troops in one passage—15,740 on a run from the U.S to Europe in July of 1943.

Luke 9:23-25 NLTThen he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed?

Matthew 13:44 NASB — The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells everything that he has, and buys that field.

Psalm 45:3-5 NKJV — Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, with Your glory and Your majesty.
