40 Extraordinary Quotes on Prayer

Prayer is the medium through which we receive supernatural help from above — God has established this.

As image-bearers of God, we are partners. We are Vice-Regents under God in Christ. A Vice-Regent is a person who takes action in the name of a ruler or sovereign. A related term is ViceRoyalty.

"... much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." Romans 5:17 NASB

It’s always been about a union and partnership between heaven and earth … from the Garden of Eden to the Garden City which is coming down from above in the New Heavens and New Earth.

And prayer is a core element of our partnership with heaven. In prayer, we are conformed to the nature of the Sovereign King. We pick up his heart and intent. Then we activate the jurisdiction he has assigned us in the earth.

All for his name and fame. His glory and story.

“Believers keep up and maintain their walk with God by secret prayer. The spirit of grace is always accompanied with the spirit of supplication. It is the very breath of the new creature, the fan of the divine life, whereby the spark of holy fire, kindled in the soul by God, is not only kept in, but raised into a flame.” — George Whitefield

“Prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them; outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world.” — E.M. Bounds

She has written many other books too. I once attended one of her conferences.

    1. That’s wonderful, Linda. Prayer, to me, is one of those things that can be “caught” from others. We need to be kindled by others, and to kindle others as well.
